Tim Latz is Head of Department for Technology Management at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT. He studied industrial engineering specializing in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University. He has been a research associate in Technology Management at the IPT since November 2019 and was responsible for the Technology Foresight group from June 2023 to April 2024. In his dissertation, he focuses on the need for action and options for state support for the technology transfer of deep tech.
As part of industrial projects, Tim Latz and his department support manufacturing companies from all sectors, including the construction, semi-finished products, commercial vehicle and automotive industries, in the strategic management of technological innovations.
