The management of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT has been in the hands of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Brecher since January 1, 2018. Together with Professors Thomas Bergs, Robert Schmitt and Günther Schuh, he forms the board of directors of the Fraunhofer IPT and the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL). In this personal union, they combine both institutes to form a production technology research center that is unparalleled in terms of diversity and competence.

Process technology

In the area of Process technology, we develop new production processes for your applications and optimize those already existing: from process analyses of the conceptual development and consultation up to the practical realization, we create integrated solutions for your business.
