Viktor Rudel M.Sc.
Viktor Rudel, born in 1993, studied mechanical engineering and production technology at RWTH Aachen University. During his studies, he interned at Fraunhofer CMI in Boston, USA, where he worked on the implementation of a fully automated tea bag production plant. In 2020, he completed his master's degree with honors. His thesis was on the "Data-based evaluation of profile deviations in 5-axis milling of blisks".
He has been working as a research associate at Fraunhofer IPT since 2020 and took over as head of the "Process Planning and Digitization" group in 2022. In this role, he was responsible for managing international research and industry projects, particularly in the areas of simulation-based NC-path optimization and the development of a cloud-capable framework for a data-consistent digital twin in machining.
Since October 2024, Mr. Rudel has been head of the "High Performance Cutting" department at Fraunhofer IPT. In his dissertation, he investigates the compensation of static deflections during the milling of thin-walled blades in turbomachinery manufacturing.
