Digital ecosystem for networked, adaptive production

Digitalisation and innovative technologies such as digital twin and artificial intelligence are changing work processes in industry - towards adaptive and automated production. However, this is accompanied by a growing need for high-performance infrastructures that meet the high demands of a digital ecosystem.

Resilience and sustainability play a role here, as do low latency times and ever-increasing amounts of data that need to be processed in order to ensure transparency along the entire value chain. AI-supported process planning and quality assurance or predictive maintenance are just some of the growing applications that will change industry and production in the future.

High-performance infrastructures in industry are therefore the necessary basis for meeting these challenges and the growing degree of technologisation.

The Fraunhofer IPT has been working for many years on new and established architectures for digital ecosystems in industry and validating them in real industrial environments. In this seminar series, we pass on the knowledge gained from research and industry and introduce you to the topic of "Digital ecosystem for networked, adaptive production". With a holistic view of the industry, we take a closer look at the individual pieces of the puzzle that make up the digital ecosystem as a whole in the webinars.

From data acquisition, communication and cloud structures to cyber security and implementation aspects of other technologies such as AI, we examine and discuss each topic individually in a webinar that encourages exchange and further thinking.

Attend our free webinars and get to know the individual elements of the digital ecosystem.
