The EDIH Rhineland, as the regional branch of the initiative, offers these companies a wide range of services, from further training and the promotion of cooperation and networking to the implementation of specific measures to improve the digital maturity of companies.
To this end, the partners in the project first record the existing processes and technical conditions in order to then make recommendations for the digitalization of these processes. Data analysis can then be qualitatively improved by using artificial intelligence, for example, by accelerating business processes through high-performance computing. In this way, the use of digital technologies increases efficiency, reduces costs and benefits both operations and the environment.
The EDIH Rhineland aims to promote the resilience of the economy from the Rhineland to Limburg and East Belgium so that sustainable growth can develop. Through targeted innovation impulses, the project contributes to long-term structural change in the region. Together, concerns about digitalization can be dispelled by clarifying uncertainties at the planning stage and removing further inhibitions during implementation so that the opportunities become visible.
The EDIH Rhineland serves as a neutral point of contact for project sponsors as well as solution providers and applying companies. The scope of the EDIH Rhineland is not limited to the immediate Rhineland region, but also supports companies from Westphalia and the border triangle between Germany, the Dutch province of Limburg and the Belgian Walloon region, including the French and German-speaking areas of the country.
The operational work of each EDIH takes place in the direct geographical catchment area. However, the regular exchange and joint work on new ways to overcome the existing challenges of digitalization extends across Europe.
The close cooperation within the EDIH network not only complements the expertise of the individual partners, but also that of the various hubs spread across Europe. The partners in the hubs work together to achieve the goal of the "Digital Europe" program through this holistic perspective.
